How Can I Get Involved?

Home

If you are between 14 and 25 years old there are loads of ways you can be in the Senior Section
  • Join a local Ranger Unit
  • Be  a Young Leader and help out a local Unit
  • Be a Guider of a Unit (once your 18)
  • Be a Lone member (not attached to a unit)
  • Be a combination of the above
  • Be a member and do something like your Duke of Edinburgh's Award through Guiding

How Do I Start?

If you already know of a Ranger group, or a Unit you'd like to help at, you can approach the Guider in charge of the Unit and she'll help you. If you don't know what's available or who to call then contact Vicki, here.

If you don't want to join a local unit or can't due to commitments, then the Lones may be for you. Instead of the regular meetings, Lones do their Guiding by post or e-mail. For more information on becoming a Senior Section Lone Member contact Vicki or send a query through the Scottish Guiding Website

What's the deal with the Law,

Promise and Motto?

The Senior Section has the same Law, Promise and Motto as the Guides. There is also a further commitment: to be of service to the community.
You take your promise when you are ready in a way that suits and you can choose the promise badge that best suits you.

The point is, if you are a member of
Guiding aged between 14 and 26 then
Senior Section is here to support you and
offer a huge range of opportunities for you
can get involved in.
