Meetings are usually a get-together of friends as well as perhaps inviting a speaker or having a demonstration. Recent evenings have included;

Film Shows, Aromatherapy, Healthy Eating night, Sugarcraft demonstrations, a visit to ASDA Distribution Depot as well as holding Coffee Mornings and raising money for Charity with a Silent Auction.

We always look forward to our Christmas Dinners and in the Summer we have outings to places of interest.

Changing the World - In the Community

What a wonderful representation from the County at last night's midnight walk in Stirling. Forth Valley is changing the world!

I was there helping with six of our Trefoil Guild, one (also a VP) coming down from her weekend break away just to "do her bit".  Saw a Vice President, Guiders, Commissioners and Young Leaders all there too.  I know there would be others I didn't know or didn't see.

It was a wonderful sight to see the Rugby field covered with ladies of all ages, dressed up in pyjamas, one as Batwoman, one girl with her "Hen Party" the week before she is married all wearing pink tiaras.  I bet the majority of them all had links with Guiding at some point in their lives.

Despite media reports to the contrary there are a lot of good people out there - all changing the world.

Oh and the down side...

Spirits were high, the DJ was "warming" the ladies up, played Here come the girls and as they set off the heavens opened and the heaviest down pour fell, but it didn't suppress the ladies' spirits.
