Meet Sheila, our County Commissioner...
I am Sheila Roger, County Commissioner for Forth Valley. Before this I was County Outdoor Activities Adviser and a Division Commissioner.
I have also been a Ranger and Guide Leader and District Commissioner and was persuaded back into Guiding as District Commissioner when I was a Brownie Mum.
In each role I have enjoyed the fun and friendship shared by both adults and girls and some lifelong friendships have been forged.
I now have the privilege of leading the County Team and we draw on our varied skills and experiences to deliver Guiding, which is fun, relevant to the 21st century, flexible and all-inclusive.
We are ‘girl led’ and our highly committed leaders facilitate stimulating and challenging programmes. It is always a pleasure to watch the development of the girls as they move through the sections and take increased responsibility.
Despite Units being geographically widespread, we provide lots of opportunities throughout the year for girls from all corners to meet together.
