International Opportunities Weekend
This year's International Opportunities weekend is taking place at Moor House Adventure Centre, 9th – 11th October and costs £45.
INTOPS is open to members aged 17-30, provides a range of activities that give you a taste for going abroad and experiencing other cultures.
The weekend aims to be fun and informative, as well as test participants to their limit!
Scottish Adult INTOPS for 2010 - Leaders, Assistant Leaders & 3rd Adults
Saturday 31st October 2009 - 11am to 3pm at Scottish Headquarters, 16 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh.
Uniform to be worn. Participants should bring packed lunch, paper, pen and scissors.
Counties should note that they don't need to do a Selection for Adult candidates and may put forward as many candidates as they wish as long as they meet the requisite criteria.

Nomination forms to SHQ no later than
15th October 2009
All Adults may come in pre-formed or partially pre-formed teams, but are also encouraged to come singly.
Those who have led or assisted on Scottish trips previously may come forward again, and those who have never experienced a Guiding event abroad are also encouraged to apply, provided they have the relevant guiding qualification, as full training and support will be given.
Plenty of support will be given on this fantastic opportunity.

World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011

Adults for this event will also be selected at the INTOPS day at SHQ on 31st October 2009.
PLEASE STATE IF THIS IS YOUR PREFERENCE. This camp is 'Back to basics' camp which will draw on traditional camping skills, so if this is where you excel, please apply. (Guide or Senior Section Camp licence required, and preferably some experience of camping abroad)

Adults - World Centres Travel Fund:
Anyone interested in taking part in an event at the World Centres in India or Mexico should also attend the Adult INTOPS on Saturday 31st October.
The World Centres Travel Fund exists to help Adults visit the Guiding World Centres. SHQ fund 50% of training and travel costs for the two people chosen through International Selections to visit either Sangam or Our Cabana.
This is in addition to any Adults you may wish to put forward as trip Leaders, Assistant Leaders or Third Adults. Although this opportunity will be advertised in September’s Blueprint with those interested being asked to contact their International Adviser with their completed INTOPS form.
